Mental Health Awareness
This area of the website provides information on external support and resources for mental health and wellbeing. Our school recognise that positive mental health and wellbeing are essential to the development of thriving and successful students. It is therefore vital to our students that we provide high quality emotional health and wellbeing support.
In addition to supporting individual students with emotional health and wellbeing concerns, the school is committed to making sure that all students can access a cohesive network of pastoral and specialist services. These include:
-
A pastoral team, who are available at any time of the school day.
-
Appointments with trained Mental Health First Aiders.
-
Mental Health Ambassadors who are trained to support other students in their year groups.
-
A mental health curriculum which is part of ACHIEVE lessons and is threaded throughout the Tutor programme. This includes awareness weeks.
-
Specialist external services that students are referred to by the pastoral team and/or the DSL/SENCO.
Mental health concerns
Please contact the school for any additional support or information regarding mental health or wellbeing. For immediate safeguarding concerns please contact the school and ask for the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
