Participating in extra- curricular activities will help you to explore your physical, creative, social and career interests with like-minded people. You will make new friends who share your interests and curiosity, whilst learning new practical and social skills.

As part of the extra-curricular programme at Ellowes we run a reward scheme for clubs, fixtures and competitions. When students attend 15 extra-curricular sessions for their Sport or activity they get given an enamel badge to wear proudly on their blazer.
We are proud of the school’s sporting reputation and students have enjoyed team and individual success in school, county, regional and national competitions. A number of ex-students have gone on to enjoy success on the national and international stage which makes us at Ellowes immensely proud:
