Ellowes Hall considers it important that praise and rewards should have a considerable emphasis
The principles of our Behaviour Policy centre on our high expectations of good behaviour, our respect for each other, and our commitment to rewarding positive behaviour and sanctioning negative behaviour.
Our rules set the boundaries of poor behaviour and our sanctions identify our responses to poor behaviour. The menu of sanctions mean that our responses are both measured and proportionate and they range from a verbal reprimand to permanent exclusion.
We have a number of rewards which recognise good behaviour and a range of strategies which support and encourage it.
Primarily though, ensuring good behaviour in the school community and beyond is a shared responsibility; between Governors, staff, parents and the students themselves.
